I could write an entire sermon on so many verses from the short readings from Matthew 4 and Psalm 4 today. Lucky for anyone reading, I won't. I have picked two verses. MT. 4:16a, "the people living in darkness have seen a great light." and PS. 4:7, "You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound." When you are living in darkness you do not realize how dark it really is until the lights are turned on or the sun comes up. Embrace the GREAT LIGHT of Jesus in your life, even if it hurts your eyes at first. All the things that you once thought would bring you joy will be nothing compared to the greater joy you feel in Jesus.
