Could we be blind and not know it? Is it possible that we think we are living in the light, but we are really in darkness?
Matthew 6:22-23, "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
If you'll notice, this comment by Jesus is sandwiched in between two comments talking about possessions and money. It seems to be disconected...or is it? When we value ANYTHING more than we value God and His will, we are BLIND and living in darkness.
Psalm 8:1 says, "O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens."
God's glory is above EVERYTHING else, and anything else we desire could not compare.
