Our verses for the day in Proverbs 3:9-10 say this, "9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine."
Isn't it interesting that we are reading this in Proverbs at the same time that we are reading about Abraham building altars to honor God? And we find God blessing him so much that the land is so overflowing with blessings to the point that him and lot needed to split apart.
As we read more, we will find Abraham continuing to build altars to God, even one to sacrifice his son Isaac on. We will also see God continue to bless Abraham and keep His covenant with him.
The God of Abraham is our God too. He is not so concerned with you being wealthy, but He will fill your needs and more when you honor Him and give Him your first and your best.
