Our reading in proverbs today says that God gives wealth to those who love Him and their treasuries are full.
Now we know that riches from God do not always come in the form of maoney and physical posessions. However, we have a great example in Joseph, who we read about today in Genesis. Every time it looks like things are turning out bad for Joseph, Go turns things around. Because Joseph loved God and honored Him, he became second in command to Pharoh in Egypt.
There was probaly not a more unlikely person than Joseph who was a foreign slave, who had been thrown in prison, to become so high up and honored in Egypt.
I wonder what great things can be done, if we would honor God, like Joseph, no matter what circumstance we find ourselves in. It might be riches, but more importantly, it could be honor and glory given to God. It may be that those who see us, praise Him.
