When I read the account of Peter's faith, to be able to look at a man and say, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." makes me a little ashamed.
ReplyDeleteSo I ask myself a few questions:
Do I believe that Jesus' power is strong enough that it could work through me like that?
I know it is, so that leaves a few other questions:
Do I think I am not good enough to be use? Do I think I have the wisdom to know who should be healed and when? Do I not have the gift of healing (because it is clearly listed among the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives)?
No matter what the answers to all of my questions are, I know two things:
1. God is powerful!
2. I want to continue to grow and use whatever gifts He gives me to glorify Him, just like Peter did.
