I love Jeremiah 29:11-14. However, most people look at that verse out of context and a little short sighted. YES! God has great plans for us that are good and full of hope. However, we do not always see those plans for a long time. God told the Israelites this in response to a false prophet who said they were about to be released from captivity. God said no, they would remain there for another 70 years... WHAT? Yes, 70 years. But He reminded them to have hope, because "I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
ReplyDeleteYes, God has great plans for us, but often times we can not see it for a long time. If we trust Him and persevere, we will see it.
